My First Reading Experience

Harry Potter and the Philospher Stone

The UK Edition

As a kid, I have been always indifferent to reading, never liked and never hated it.BUT, after watching the Harry Potter Series twice, I was in love, and I really wanted to know more. And so began my eternal love for HP and for reading.

Now in case you actually haven't read it, here is a spoiler-free introduction to the first book:

Harry Potter is an orphan boy who lives with his aunt and uncle, the Dursleys, who badly mistreat him. Harry lives with them for eleven years until he is greeted on his birthday by a kind-hearted man named Rubeus Hagrid. Hagrid tells him the truth of his nature, having magical bloodline. Harry was surprised as the Dursleys never mentioned anything about him, his parents or magic. He later knows that they hid many more information from him. Hagrid also told him about  Hogwarts, a school in which people like him go to. When Harry knows more about himself and his new world, he starts to face tribulations because of a dark history between him and a dark wizard.

So what makes this book memorable?

It strikes every reader by curiosity, charm, and laughter. I remember reading the first fifty pages in an hour without feeling bored or lost. Every event lived in my heart and, every character’s actions are calculated perfectly .Speaking of characters, every one of them has his or her story that affects the reader. The characters also remind us of all the people we have met which makes it so realistic. J.K Rowling never introduced a character in the books without mentioning him or her later on in the story which is why readers get attached to every one of them. So in short, the book(and the whole series) makes you crave the HP world.

The Most Beautiful World Ever
